Zeffert & Gold Catering and Event Planning is a leading catering service provider in the Baltimore, Maryland - Washington, DC metropolitan areas (including Greater Baltimore, Washington, DC, and select areas of the mid-Atlantic). Green Catering

At Zeffert and Gold Catering, we are committed to sustainable, green practices throughout our entire business. Zeffert and Gold’s Green Practices Include:

  • Recycling cardboard, metals, paper, and plastic
  • Source Local and/or organic food and beverages when available or appropriate
  • Offer sustainable fish, grass-fed beef and free-range chicken upon request
  • Provide bulk servings of typical single-serve packages (such as coffee creamers, sugar, and juices) upon request
  • Provide filtered water in bulk containers as an alternative to bottled water
  • Use either compostable or recyclable paper goods
  • Employ reusable real china service ware upon request
  • Reuse buffet décor
  • Source event equipment, staffing, flowers, and alcohol suppliers from local sources
  • Maintain sustainable office and kitchen spaces (i.e. motion-censored lighting, LED fixtures, green cleaning products, recycled paper products in bathrooms, composting kitchen scraps)
  • Donate leftover foods to a local food bank
  • Compost all food scraps and coffee grounds
  • Execute zero waste events upon request
  • Provide all applicable waste to biofuel recycling programs
